Weekly Lenten Lunch Study, Thursdays through April 2
On Ash Wednesday, we began the season of preparation called Lent — moving together toward the cross, following Jesus along the road to Jerusalem, and deepening our faith in God who is with us in all of it. As we ready ourselves for Lent and discern what personal practices we might engage for the season, we hope you'll consider participating in our weekly Lenten Lunches (Thursdays from 12:30-1:30 through April 2), which will follow a weekly Lenten devotional booklet called "Tell Me Something Good". This resource invites us into explore stories in which Jesus is bringing good news and challenging us to claim it as such, to ground ourselves in it, and to let it nourish and embolden us for the work to the lives of discipleship to which we are called. The devotional booklet includes art, reflections, and prayers for use throughout the week at home, alone or with others-- and we hope you will join us on Thursdays as you are able, either in person or via Zoom (meeting ID 7065431820) as we journey through this season, claiming the good news Jesus brings.
The devotional booklet is available in printed format (a few copies will be placed in the Atrium and church office) and in digital format (please e-mail frontdesk@firstpresathens.org to get the link). Daily prompts will also be sent via email.
