Ways to Serve

The Outreach Commission functions are to establish and promote the mission of First Presbyterian Church locally, nationally and globally and to help members of the congregation have hands on experiences each year in mission projects.

Through the direction of our Outreach Commission, we have focused our efforts on projects that involve poverty, education, and health.  First Presbyterian Church's Outreach ministry supports five main areas of service:  Food ministries, Short-Term Assistance and Shelter, Medical Care (both mental and physical), Evangelism, and Education/Advocacy/Training for Specific Populations.

There are many ways you can be part of the outreach of First Presbyterian Church.  Ministries we have support include:

First Presbyterian currently has three major ongoing projects: Interfaith Hospitality Network, Holiday Benevolence Project, and the Habitat Housing Project.

If you are interested in volunteering your time and talent in this area, please fill out the Ways to Serve form and contact the Church Office.
